Dual Modulation of Laser Diode Emission Polarization

Abstract

This report considered the laser diode dual modulation (by pump current and confinement factor variation) possibility to be a method to control the polarization of the laser radiation. The carried out mathematical modeling of the laser diode under the dual modulation proved the possibility of direct control of laser radiation polarization keeping the output power near to be constant.
