A Multigrid Method for Elliptic Grid Generation Using Finite Volume Method

Abstract

In this paper, the Laplace equation and the algebraic transformation were presented for the domains in 2D and 3D physical space. The second order finite difference scheme was used for the discretization of the grid generating equations. The linear system is solved by the ADI method and the convergence was accelerated by the multigrid FAS scheme. The performance characteristic of the algorithm was discussed and illustrations were made.
