Extended Range Artillery Munition Suite Technology
Abstract
This Project directly supports Long Range Precision Fires Modernization Priority capabilities by investigating critical enabling component technologies and designing high precision terminal guidance in denied environments, capable of surviving high gun shock loads, at extended ranges, and automated cannon artillery technologies to increase operational tempo and unburden the soldier. Work in this Project complements Program Element (PE) 0603464A (Long Range Precision Fires Advanced Technology) / AG5 (Extended Range Artillery Munition Suite Adv Tech). The cited research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Work in this Project is performed by the Armaments Center.
