Future UAS Engine Technology
Abstract
This Project designs and evaluates current and Future Unmanned Aircraft Systems (FUAS) advanced engine/power system component technologies to support the goals of multi-fuel capability, reduced fuel consumption, engine size, weight, and cost, as well as improved reliability, survivability, and maintainability. Work in this Project is fully coordinated with PE 0603465A (Future Vertical Lift Advanced Technology). The cited research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Research in this Project is performed by the United States (US) Army Futures Command.
