Aviation Survivability Advanced Technology
Abstract
This Project matures and demonstrates increased Future Vertical Lift (FVL) survivability through the integration and demonstration of technologies that reduce platform signatures, improve threat warning and countermeasures against integrated networked air and ground threat systems. Also matures and demonstrates UAS survivability technologies to enable manned/unmanned team based approaches to enable operation in contested peer/near peer environments Work in this Project is fully coordinated with PE 0602148A (Future Vertical Lift Technology Development). The cited work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. All FY20 adjustments align program financial structure to Army Modernization Priorities in support of the National Defense Strategy. Work in this effort is performed by the United States (US) Army Futures Command.
