Aviation Survivability Advanced Technology
Abstract
This Project matures and demonstrates increased Future Vertical Lift (FVL) survivability through the integration and demonstration of technologies that reduce platform signatures, improve threat warning and countermeasures against integrated networked air and ground threat systems. Also matures and demonstrates unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) survivability technologies to enable manned/unmanned team based approaches to enable operation in contested peer/near peer environments. Research in this Project is fully coordinated with Program Element (PE) 0602148A (Future Vertical Lift Technology). The cited research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Research in this Project is performed by the United States (US) Army Futures Command.
