Narrowband SATCOM Technology

Abstract

This Project designs and develops technologies to enable gateway communications across disparate Narrowband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) networks, enabling resiliency in contested environments. The Narrowband SATCOM network is the largest tactical network operated by the Army to provide situational understanding across all echelons. This Project investigates technologies and protocols to enable risk mitigation solution sets and awareness through adaptive learning capabilities. Work in this Project complements PE 0603463A (Network C3I Advanced Technology) / Project AN2 (Narrowband SATCOM Advanced Technology). The cited work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Work in this Project is performed by the United States Army Futures Command.
