Soldier & Sm Unit Tactical Energy AdvTech

Abstract

This Project will demonstrate advanced Power and Energy (P&E) technologies for the dismounted Soldier to lighten equipment load, reduce resupply need, and enhance mobility. This Project will conduct Soldier and Small Unit power and energy technology maturation, integration with clothing and individual equipment, technical analysis, and operational assessment. Work in this Project complements several Program Elements (PEs) to include PE 0603118A (Soldier Lethality Advanced Technology) / Project BD7 (Soldier Sys Interfaces/ Integration Adv Tech), Project BD8 (Soldier & Small Unit Tactical Energy Tech), and PE 0603118A (Soldier Lethality Advanced Technology) / Project BC9 (Adv Soldier Sensors/Displays Adv Tech for Dismounts). The cited research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Research in this Project is performed by the Soldier Center and the Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center.
