Chemical Biological Defense (ATD)
Abstract
Project CB3 develops technology advancements for joint service application in the areas of digital battlespace management technologies, protection/ hazard mitigation and detection. These activities will speed maturing of advanced technologies to reduce risk in system-oriented integration/demonstration efforts. A portion of Project NT3, Techbase Non-Traditional Agents Defense, will merge into this Project starting in FY21. Individual efforts in this project include: - Digital battlespace management focuses on situational awareness and threat agent applications, analytic applications platform for operational situational awareness, non-traditional detection sciences, tactical decision aids, and advanced computational methods. - Protection/hazard mitigation works to provide technologies that protect from and reduce the impact of both chemical and biological threats and hazards to the Warfighter, weapons platforms, and structures. - Detection strives to develop technologies for point and standoff detection and identification of both chemical and biological agents. - Non-Traditional Agent (NTA) Defense includes chemical diagnostics, medical pretreatments, therapeutics, detection, and protection and hazard mitigation.
