Ground Vehicle Power and Energy Concepts and Tech
Abstract
This Project investigates and develops advanced power and energy technologies for combat ground vehicles that are necessary for parallel hybrid, series hybrid, and all- electric vehicle systems. This Project investigates, designs, and develops electric conversion technologies to reduce size and weight of military vehicles while increasing performance and capabilities to support current and future mission loads and provide improved military vehicle mobility. Work in this Project is coordinated with PE 0602145A (Next Generation Combat Vehicle Technology) / PE 0603462A (Next Generation Combat Vehicle Advanced Technology). The cited work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas. Work in this Project is performed by the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) and Data and Analysis Center (DAC).
