UAS Survivability Adv Technology

Abstract

This Project integrates the new technologies of Future Vertical Lift and Air Platform Technologies to address an evolving threat environment by improving UAS survivability in contested environments. This is achieved without impacting UAS performance through tailored signature management for UAS missions, survivability-enhanced mission profiles, UAS survivability behaviors, resilient systems and architectures and electromagnetic (EM) vulnerability reduction. UAS Survivability Advanced Technology will mature UAS survivability technologies and demonstrate increased UAS Survivability in a peer / near-peer environment with minimal impacts to aircraft performance. This work supports Future Vertical Lift and Advanced Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Work in this Project is fully coordinated with PE 0602148A (Future Vertical Lift Technology). The cited work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Work in this Project is performed by the United States (US) Army Futures Command (AFC).
