Air Vehicle Structures and Dynamics Tech
Abstract
This Project develops modeling tools and methodologies needed to research low noise and aeroelastically stable rotor technologies. Research in this Project enable high speed flight, longer flight envelopes, and lower noise signatures in Future Vertical Lift (FVL) platforms and are also applicable to the family of FVL manned and unmanned platforms. Research in this Project is fully coordinated with Program Element (PE) 0603465A (Future Vertical Lift Advanced Technology Development). The cited research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Science and Technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy. Research in this Project is performed by the United States (US) Army Futures Command.
