Armored Engineer Vehicles
Abstract
This project supports a new start effort for the prototype development, test and evaluation of a robotic capability Remote Control System (RCS) for the Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV), to include prototype fabrication, developmental testing, operational testing and logistics demonstration / user test events. This project also supports live fire test and evaluation, initial operational test and evaluation and production qualification testing of the Joint Assault Bridge (JAB). Funding supports modernization of Army Bridging and Armored Engineer Vehicle fleets by investigating technology insertions including, but not limited to: condition based maintenance, increased military load capacities, autonomous operations and other emerging technologies. Funding also supports developing initial prototypes and testing to enable refinement of Operational Requirements and early user feedback to support future sustainment and operational movement operating concepts.
