Electric Current Analysis of Addressable Conducting Network for Damage Monitoring

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify delamination cracks in carbon fiber reinforce polymer (CFRP) structures using electric resistance changes in the material. The present study extends previous research by adapting it to an addressable conducting network of grid-type electrodes mounted on upper and lower surfaces of the CFRP structure in orthogonal directions.
