Advanced Numerical Algorithms for Fractional Optimal Feedback Control Problems

Abstract

This project aims to develop novel, stable, accurate and computationally efficient numerical methods for solving dynamical systems. More specifically, the research team aims to 1. develop efficient and accurate algorithms for solving the fractional-order optimal open-loop and feedback control problems, based on new techniques for solving state fractional differential equations and adaptive B-spline and radial basis function methods with optimal mesh points for approximating the control, 2. implement the methods developed in Item 1 and test them on real-world problems.
