Harnessing Giant Brillouin Gain For Advanced Integrated Microwave Signal Processing

Abstract

The primary goal is to push the boundaries of performance of chip-based microwave photonic devices using a large Brillouin gain, and to demonstrate new on-chip functionalities such as:a) Reconfigurable and tunable bandpass filter from 10 MHz to 1 GHz on a photonic chip while maintaining a selectivity > 40 dB. b) Microwave photonic phase shifter with a phase shift of 360 degrees, and to demonstrate true time delay on a chip.
