Exploring The Design Space Of Quantum Heat Engines

Abstract

The project has 3 main aims:1) Characterization of the thermal and quantum fluctuations in a finite-power Quantum Otto Cycle: 2) Characterization of the effect of interactions: the presence of interactions between the constituents of a gas has two major contributions which must be understood and modelled3) Optimization of the fluctuations in a Quantum Otto Cycle: once the fluctuations are better characterized, we intend to optimize them against key performance indicators.
