Hierarchical Interaction Of Polymer Crystals On Two Dimensional Transition Metal Dichalogenide Nanosheets

Abstract

The objective of the proposed research is to investigate multi-scale structural interactions of highly crystalline polymers (polymer crystals) and functional nanoparticles on transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) to understand molecule-to-molecule and crystal lattice-to-lattice interactions. The goal is to be able to control resulting nanostructures prepared using hierarchical structured polymer crystals and single or polycrystalline TMDs with an aim of creating novel composites for nanoelectronic applications.
