Systems Theory Approach To Modeling And Robust Design Of Quantum Information Processing Devices

Abstract

The objectives of this research are:1. Enhance understanding of how quantum linear systems theory, and feedback control in particular, can be employed to design quantum information processing devices with enhanced robustness characteristics.2. Enrichment of systems and control theory through a focus on specific opportunities and challenges in the modeling and design of devices for quantum information processing. These would be applied to the design of quantum information processing devices so that robust performance can be achieved.
