Core-Shell Photonic Nanoparticles For Enhanced Solar-To-Fuel Photocatalytic Conversion

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to examine nanostructured photo-electrochemical systems for solar-to-fuel conversion that lead to increased hydrogen production and selective transformation of biomass to petrochemicals. This proposal builds upon prior research involving photocatalytic conversion of water to produce hydrogen, but now utilizes anode reactivity to reactions at both electrodes.
