Statistical Creep Failure Time Of Unidirectional CFRP Under Compression Loading

Abstract

The statistical long term life prediction for the longitudinal compression for unidirectional CFRP as well as the longitudinal tension is one of the most important basic items for the durability design of CFRP and structures for aircrafts. In this project, we discuss theoretically the validity of our developed methodology for the longitudinal compression for unidirectional CFRP and confirm experimentally by the actual creep tests.
