Network-Wide Security Effects In Quantum Repeater Network Operation

Abstract

The objective of the project is to answer the question, "Can the function of creating end-to-end entanglement be disrupted on a scale disproportionate to the fraction of the network compromised?" The PI aims to answer this question in a quantitative fashion and suggest mitigation strategies. While the prior work of the PI focused on local effects of physical quantum hacking, here they will focus on 1) the network-wide effects of using such quantum-level techniques, and 2) effects of classical hacking of repeater nodes.
