Development Of Gamma Precipitation-Strengthened W-Free Co-Base Superalloys For Gas Turbine Applications

Abstract

Novel W-free Co-based superalloys must be developed, which show an optimum balance of high-temperature properties (creep and oxidation resistance) as well as high a thermal stability and low alloy density, while including only moderate amounts of rare and expensive alloying elements.
