Development Of The Self-Phase-Controlled SBS-PCM Cell For Coherent Beam Combination Of High Power Laser Modules

Abstract

The development of the stimulated Brillouin scattering phase conjugated mirror (SBS-PCM) for a high power laser having more than several hundred watts is proposed. By increasing the diameter of the rotating focal spot, maximum input power on SBS-PCM can be increased to develop a high power SBS-PCM cell. From the previous research results on the coherent combination using SBS-PCM and rotating wedge SBS-PCM (RW-SBS-PCM), a new SBS-PCM cell for high power laser will be designed through this research work.
