Thermo-Mechanical Modelling of Granular Materials With Non-spherical Particle Shape

Abstract

The aim of this project will be to develop a capability to simulate conduction within and between super-quadric particles in a dry granular bed which may be static or in motion. This will set a strong foundation for modeling more complex granular thermal systems including those with radiative and convective heat transfer
