Nano-confinement based platforms for screening bio-recognition elements and multiplexed sensing

Abstract

In response to the need of developing tools for the assessment and enhancement of humanperformance among field personnel, a central scientific vision of Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and a main goal of the 711th Human Performance Wing of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), a novel nanoscale optofluidic platform is proposed to address these issues. The platform consists of nanofluidic slit channels, with embedded functionalized patched gold nanograting, capable of highthroughput screening of bio?recognition elements and multiplexed sensing.
