Scalable AWG with fast feedback option for medium scale quantum processor

Abstract

In this project we will focus on scaling the pulse generation and readout system towards a system capable to interact with a 100 superconducting qubit processors. The anticipated system is based on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC framework and a tailored firmware currently developed. The operation of multi superconducting qubit processors require an extremely fast and highly synchronized microwave pulse source with the ability to generate synchronized arbitrary pulses in shape, phase at multi output channels in parallel. We will scale the system to multiple boards synchronize to on a single external reference clock.
