Research on verification of oxidation levels of metallic materials (Nb alloy, Ti alloy) through 3D printing (LW-DED) utilizing portable technology for creating inert atmospheres around melting zone

Abstract

Recent advancements in metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies can be categorized into three main types- Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), Directed Energy Deposition (DED), and Binder Jetting. Among these, the aerospace sector has witnessed the most significant growth. These technologies have been extensively tested, validated, and are now being practically applied, with notable implementations by companies such as SpaceX and Relativity Space.
