Scalar Multipass Atomic Magnetometer

Abstract

Investigate the feasibility of a femto-Tesla level scalar atomic magnetometer operating in Earth s field with a small CSWaP. The effort will focus on a detailed physics model of the sensor to optimize the cell geometry, construction of a proof-of-concept prototype with a small cell, and a study of available laser technology to identify high-risk gaps in COTS components that will need further technical development.
