Optimal Real Time Feedback Control for Autonomous Flight Vehicles via Solution of the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman Equation

Abstract

The purpose of this research effort is to research and gain the engineering knowledge needed to understand and address the impacts of complex flight environments on autonomous flight systems. This task will address the development of efficient HJB solution based, real-time optimal control algorithms resilient to the perturbations present in complex flight regimes.
