Broadband Multifocal IR Metelenses

Abstract

PhD dissertation project with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to explore fundamental research concepts in the design and fabrication of broadband, tunable metalenses operating with multifocal capabilities in both in the MWIR and the LWIR regimes. The design of this metalens will be done using a combination of conventional approaches and inverse design techniques. Inverse design techniques will be investigated using neural networks and recursive ray-tracing methods.
