A Novel Computational Framework for Optimal Control of Partial Differential Equations Using Gaussian Quadrature Orthogonal Collocation Methods

Abstract

The objective of this effort is to address the development of computational trajectory optimization methods relevant to high-speed flight systems coupled tightly with the response of a thermal protection system (TPS) containing multiple materials with temperature dependent properties governed by the transient heat equation.
