ADVANCED SOLUTION METHODOLOGIES FOR LOADING AND TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS

Abstract

We plan to study loading, packing, and transportation problems that may better model real-world situations in which additional constraints make it difficult to adopt the classical knapsack modeling tools. In such contexts, we would like to experiment innovative techniques, whose relevance is consistently growing in the scientific literature like, e.g., machine learning and constraint programming methodologies
