INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RELATIVISTIC QUANTUM INFORMATION, CHANIA GREECE 2020

Abstract

The project is the organization of the 11-th annual conference on Relativistic Quantum Information to take place in Chania, Greece from July 6th 2020 to July 10th 2020. The conference is organized by the University of Patras, Greece and the Technical University of Crete, Greece, under the auspices of the International Society of Relativistic Quantum Information. The conference invites world-leaders from all countries to present their work on the interface of relativity theory and quantum information, covering both theoretical and experimental work. This year the emphasis is on the following topics: (i) how information is encoded in quantum fields and how it is retrieved through measurements, (ii) the role of information in quantum gravity theories, (iii) the issue of whether black holes destroy information, (iv) experiments testing gravitational effects on quantum systems and their physical interpretations, (v) tabletop and space experiments that test fundamental aspects of quantum theory, and (vi) the relation between quantum information processing and causality.
