Large-Scale Power Grid Simulation via an Equivalent Circuit Formulation

Abstract

The objective of this effort is to develop an open source prototype software tool that implements steady state and transient analyses of power systems using the split-circuit approach, develop a generalized approach for modeling power system components that can be characterized by measurement data or physics-based analyses, and develop and implement algorithms for guaranteeing convergence of the split equivalent circuit equations for large-scale power systems.
