Design and Implementation of Quantum Optimization Methods
Abstract
The performer under this Grant will focus their efforts on advancing the state-of-the-art practices of applying quantum computing algorithms to problems of interest to the war-fighter, with particular focus on applied machine learning. Quantum computing is progressing rapidly toward applications, with strong indications that hardware and algorithm advances may soon make this technology relevant for some types of computing problems. Leveraging research and education components, this project will build a community of practice of researchers and scientist prepared to understand application of quantum computing methods to problems of interest to the DoD.
