Fundamental Aspects of NO IR Spectroscopy in High T and P Air

Abstract

The focus of the proposed research is the understanding of spectroscopy and chemistry of NO in high-pressure and high-temperature air to enable: (1) precise optical absorption measurements of NO concentration in high-temperature and high-pressure air and (2) understanding of the limits of pressure, temperature and residence time needed to establish thermal equilibrium of NO in air in practical flow facilities.
