Revealing Thermo-Mechanical Deformation Mechanisms in Multi-Phase Metal Carbides

Abstract

Design Compositional and microstructural exploration and multi-disciplinary optimization treats key variables across disciplines as parametric space with bounds. Global Vehicle Optimizer loop integrates fast low-fidelity models to generate a family of optimized shapes. These investigation of microstructure include but not limited to the investigation of vacancy ordered domains, crisscross patterns of nanoscale laths, and acicular grains with parallel laths which are collectively define mechanical performance.
