Real-Time Dynamic Measurements and Characterization of Mesoscale Deformation and Temperature Fields in Explosive
Abstract
The technical objective of this proposed research is to characterize and model, at the mesoscale, the formation mechanisms and dynamics of hot spots in energetic materials, thereby understanding the role of these stress concentration sites in the initiation of energetic materials and the subsequent propagation of reaction.
