Nonlinear Photonics in Nanostructured Lasers: Applications to Ultra-Broadband Communications and to Microwave, Millimeter-Wave and Terahertz Signal Generations

Abstract

The leitmotiv is to promote innovation, novelty and state-of-the-art results in the field of semiconductor laser dynamic. The work uses techniques of nonlinear photonics in quantum dot (QD) devices shed with laser gain media to establish the next generation of photonic oscillators for microwave (MW), millimeter-wave (MMW) and THz signal generations as well as for ultra-broadband communications.
