Molecular Tuning of Interfacial Electrocatalysis

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to systematically investigate the multi-electron, multi-proton reduction of carbon dioxide to fuels on chemical modified metal electrodes. This project aims to develop strategies for promoting and tuning heterogeneous CO2 reduction catalysis by grafting rigid polyfunctional ligands that interact synergistically with proximate active sites on group 11 metal electrode surfaces.
