Cross-Discipline Bio-Nanostructured Enhanced Photonic Multimode-Sensor Science

Abstract

The proposed experimental study aims to combine expertise of bio, chemical, and photonics leaders to create adaptable plasmonic enhanced multi-mode bio-nanostructured sensors. Cross-discipline challenges include: a) defining specific methods and characteristics of a set of proteins/nucleic acids (aptamers) interaction with molecules or viruses of high interest, b) define the gap in sensor systems blocking ability to analyze a specific range of organic materials from the meter distance, c) define a bio-nano structure to overcome gap and limitations of traditional sensors, d) experiential characterization of the approach, and e) integrate process parameters,
