ENGINEERING ROBUST ENZYME ACTIVITY THROUGH FUNDAMENTAL STUDIES OF EXTREMOPHILE ENZYMES

Abstract

Their long-term goal is to understand the biochemical and biophysical behavior of extremophile enzymes and leverage this knowledge to design more robust enzymes that are fully active over wide temperature ranges for use in biosystems that can reliably be deployed into changing environments, for material degradation, more robust biosensors, and faster enzyme catalysis.
