Simultaneous Observations of Geosynchronous Satellites from Falcon Telescope sites at Sterling and La Junta, COlorado and Mamalluca, Chile

Abstract

The motivation for this project is to explore new techniques for imaging, identifying and predicting future positions of space objects for Space Situational Awareness. As space becomes more populated with Satellites from various countries, space objects (including debris) are becoming more of a treat to USAF space assets. Consequently, a need to continue to identify and track these objects to prevent interference to avoid collisions is becoming an increased priority.
