An adaptive distributed approach to DDAS for surveillance missions with UAV swarms

Abstract

Technical merits of the proposed research and development The proposal is aimed to develop novel methods and approaches to support DDDAS runtime environments by creating a DDDAS architecture with distributed implementation of both the application and the sensing systems for supporting environments such as ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) mission carried out by many UAVs and UGVs operating in an uncertain and dynamic environment.
