Pulsed Microwave Plasma Instrumentation for Investigation of Plasma-Tuned Multiphase Combustion

Abstract

Integrating pulsed microwave instrumentation will allow Iowa State University to study the use of pulse microwave-supported plasmas as a technique to pulse control solid propellant combustion. The instrumentation requested will be used to produced a high power (50-100kW), pulsed microwave generation facility that will interface with existing and future combustion experiments to enable the study of microwave-combustion interaction.
