Microresonator-Based Optical Frequency Combs: Initiation, Characterization, Control

Abstract

The objective of the proposed research is to study micro-resonator based frequency combs constructed from normal dispersion waveguides. More specifically, the proposal aims to understand the noise and coherence properties, dark soliton waveforms in microcombs, mode-locking transitions and the role that mode interactions can play.
