Time Domain Electromagnetic Particle-Particle Particle-Mesh

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop a Lagrangian method which can be implemented as a semi-implicit or a fully implicit scheme for the Vlasov Maxwell system aimed at bridging the time scale gap between electron plasma oscillations and the speed of light. Further, the new method offers us the opportunity to develop the first time domain electromagnetic Particle-Particle Particle-Mesh for time dependent plasmas.
