Ensemble Kalman Filter for Open GGCM

Abstract

This project will investigate and develop optimal methods to construct optimal ensembles for forecasting. They will investigate the impact of quasi-operational assimilation of existing data sets for improving forecasts and guiding the design of future observing systems.
