Synthesis and Characterization of High Temperature Polymer Matrix Composites Using 3D Printing of novel low density materials.

Abstract

The objective of the proposed is for the acquisition of instrumentation to advance fundamental understanding of 3D-Printable Polymer Matrix Composites. The instruments to be purchase are: 1) a high-temperature mini polymer extruder; 2) a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR); and 3) a low voltage electron microscope.
